Let’s celebrate World Bee Day and continue your Honey Bee journey with a Professional Bee Keeper from our team at Field Phillip Island.

Join our community of Bee Keepers for this informative and hands-on two hour workshop at our Farm, based in Ventnor.

This interactive workshop offers the chance to open up a live Bee Colony to make assessments about Honey stores and Bee Health.

You will see, hear and smell 40,000 Honey Bees up close and in person whilst wearing a full Bee Suit!

It’s an ideal workshop for people who would are ready to begin their journey as a Bee Keeper and for those wishing to refresh their Bee Keeping Skills.

 

This two hour “Keeping your own Honey Bee’s” workshop includes:

– Choosing a suitable location for your Bee Hive

– Bee Keeping Safety including wearing a full Bee suit*, using a Bee Smoker, J Tools and a Bee Brush.

– Bee Keeping demonstrations…See, Smell, Hear and surround yourself with one of our own Honey Bee Colonies

– Learn to conduct a Honey Bee Health Check to meet AgVic requirements

Yes, we’ll be opening up one of our own Bee Hives and working together to find evidence of Honey Bee Health and glorious Honey!

*A Full Bee Suit and Gum Boots are required for this workshop. So, do let us know in advance if you need to borrow a Bee Keeping Suit 

 

On conclusion of this workshop, participants can order their own colony of Honey Bee’s from our Regenerative Bee Farm

We can also provide access to discounted premium Bee Keeping Equipment including FLOW HIVES
