Thursday Ceramics Circle – Commencing 20th February – morning session

This course is designed for adults to get their hands in to different methods and techniques of the pottery process. No experience necessary. By the end of the course each student will have made a variety of  their own glazed pieces to take home. You will also have the skills to be able to tackle projects for yourself accessing our studio access program.

Week 1: Know your clay / Ceramic Process / Safety / Planning  ( 20th February)
Week 2: Wheel Throwing ( 27th February) / Hand Building project
Week 3: Wheel Throwing (6th March) / Hand Building project
Week 4: Wheel throwing & Turning (13th March) / Hand Building Project
Week 5: Wheel Throwing Advanced (20th March) /Hand building Project
Week 6: Finishing / Glazing and decorating (27th March)
Week 7: Studio Session (Open date of your choice)

Minimum numbers apply, if the course does not go ahead you will receive a full refund.

What’s Included?

The cost of this course includes clay and it’s firing, tool use, wheel use, underglazes, glaze and tutoring.

What do I need to bring?

We recommend short nails and wearing warm clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, it’s also handy to bring your own towel.

When is this happening?

Classes run Thursday’s from 10am – midday. We don’t offer refunds for non attendance to any of the sessions.

Each class limited to only  8 -10 students. Minimum numbers apply, full refunds will be issued if class does not go ahead
